How many times I have seen either online or magazines, you could request for a critic on paintings in Watercolour or other mediums.
Personally, I would only ask from very competent artists. Those who have seriously learnt their trade, have achieved high grades and shown their achievements. If you are a beginner, a critic can be soul destroying! There is always improvement towards either application of the paint or colours, or perspective, the technical aspect of a creation etc etc... Most importantly, it is no good to ask from an artist who loves abstract if you are inclined to produce realistic art. The phrase Art is Objective is so true! No one has the same perception about a painting or the way to create it. Each artist, beginner of well established, create with their Heart and their Soul. Nobody is allowed to destroy the dreams of an Artist. Magazines specialising in Watercolour, offering critics, is taking a gamble! So many artists producing so many watercolours of all styles! How can a critic be passed on all these different works? My advice to all of you considering a critic of your own work, is search other grand artists works, the ones that you would like to emulate, compare your work and see where you can improve. And do not forget: Practice makes Perfect

The Grandmasters of Fine Art exhibition has been launched with great success. It will stay opened for One year, so visitors will have time to discover the amazing fine art created around the World. Here is the Link below Meanwhile my two paintings are being on display in Wells in Somerset in the Museum. I heard the exhibition is getting many visitors. You might be one of them? It will close on the 15th of April. *** I had planned an exciting time on my website with the creation of a Membership where members would be able to see works of mine being created and a lot more.. Due to the amount of scammers running around Facebook and spoiling our lives, I have been advised not to do so as they could sign to be on my website... so No No No **** My shop is here to stay with added paintings as they will become available. I still have quite a few to add. I need to visit my files !!! Uploading paintings on the site takes a lot of my time and so if there is one you see on my website and would be interested in purchasing, please contact me to find out if it is for sale or already Sold. I will keep a few of my paintings in my Etsy shop. This is to help buyers on this site. Some of you prefer paying in instalments, one thing I cannot offer here But Etsy do have this advantage: You can pay in 3 instalments without charges. All you need to do is to let me know which painting in this site you would like to purchase, you would like to. pay by instalments. I will, then, transfer the file to my shop on Etsy. I have just received a commission from that site. So it will stay open. |
