Through the years I have had to adapt to many throw back! The very first one was while preparing for an exhibition in Canterbury, I had problems with my eyesight which resulted being operated. It stopped me finishing a few paintings on the go. However the exhibition was successful. The second throw back was I could no longer paint with my beloved Oil paint. I was allergic to the fumes. I turned to water mixable paint but after a few years, I had to give it up. Being a successful Acrylic artist, I was not too concerned, although I discovered that some mediums from different make of Acrylics was giving me problems. I had to adapt. My third throw back was more serious! As I was one month from opening a Watercolour exhibition, I had an infarctus. I was gone for a quarter of an hour. Thanks to the amazing team of the William Harvey in Ashford, I was operated and brought back to life. My children fixed my exhibition and I could enjoy the result of my hard work. My latest throw back is gout in one hand, arthritis in neck and shoulders that stopped me carrying with Canvas. So, not to be defeated, I am from now on, painting uniquely in Watercolour. After posting this latest news on FB, I have received a few messages from followers who were positively happy of this outcome as they love my watercolours. So, here we come.... Watercolour it is from now on! Thank you for your so kind comment.AE.K… I was a very lucky one. Merci
